Microstation Dimn's to Acad

I have a microstation dwg with a string of dimns, that highlight as one enity. When I convert to Acad14 .dwg I lose the dimn assoc. in Acad & they translate as in a pyramid fashion. I see nothing in the .dgn to .dwg about translating dimns. If I drop-element [dimn] they translate in acad fine but are just lines and text. Am I missing something, I hope! Thanks! LouisRZ
